Higher and professional education in every country is carried out with the aim of creating a prosperous and successful life and building a developed society. Such education plays a fundamental role in training scientific and professional cadres, which are considered the true and essential spiritual assets of a nation.

As a result of the dissemination and expansion of higher and professional education, a society and its individuals can move towards prosperity. The more effective the efforts are in training scientific and professional cadres, the more quickly society will progress toward happiness and well-being.

The Faculty of General Medicine at Spinghar University of Higher Education, which began its activities on the 22nd of Qaws (December) 1388 (2009) under the order of the Ministry of Higher Education, has sufficient facilities and resources for the theoretical and practical education of its students. It is equipped with a 50-bed teaching hospital, Spinghar Momand Hospital, which is modern and well-equipped with advanced medical equipment. This hospital not only provides practical training for students but also serves the local population with its medical services.

The Faculty of Medicine is equipped with laboratories, a research center, a library, a computer lab, and classrooms furnished with projectors and LCD screens, all meeting international standards. These resources are aimed at improving the scientific level and knowledge of the students.

In addition to theoretical and practical teaching, the faculty members are also involved in scientific research. To date, numerous scientific papers by faculty members have been published in national and international research journals, and many textbooks have been printed.

The affiliated teaching hospital is in the process of expansion and development, and we expect significant progress in the near future. Likewise, the number of laboratories and their equipment is increasing, and special attention is being given to the practical work of the students.

Through the implementation of this plan, the Faculty of Medicine aims to bring about substantial positive changes and improvements in the teaching, scientific, research, and administrative systems over the next five years. The achievement of the faculty’s objectives will complement the institution’s broader goals.

Finally, I wish success and prosperity from God (Glory be to Him) to all the students of Spinghar University of Higher Education (Nangarhar), particularly those in the Faculty of Medicine.
