According to the Regulation of academic and research Journals for Universities and Institutions of Higher Education outlines the role of the Research editorial Board. This board is composed of experts in one or more academic fields relevant to the journal's topics. Its primary responsibilities include making decisions regarding the journal's subject matter, publication goals, and overall academic matters. This encompasses the processes of reviewing submissions, managing content, handling resubmissions, and determining the approval or rejection of the articles. The board ensures the integrity and quality of the journal's publications, aligning them with academic standards and objectives.

The Editorial Board plays a crucial role in academic research, serving as the foundation for the administrative processes associated with academic journals. For research submissions and publications, this board is responsible for voting on the content of research articles to ensure they meet high academic standards. By rigorously evaluating submissions, the board maintains the integrity and quality of the journal, ensuring that published work contributes meaningfully to the body of knowledge in the relevant fields.

Internal Review Board (Editorial Board) Requirements

1.    The Internal Review Board (Editorial Board) of a national academic research journal must consist of a minimum of one member for a part engaged in the activities of the journal.

2.    All members of the Internal Review Board must hold at least a master’s degree, with a preference for those who possess a doctorate.

3.    More than (51%) of the members of the Internal Review Board must be affiliated with the academic department of the university or institution.

4.    Each member of the Internal Review Board may serve on no more than three national academic research journals.

5.    Each member must have a master’s degree and have published at least one scientific article in an international journal or two articles in nationally reputable journals.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Internal Review Board (Editorial Board)

1.    Participate in meetings concerning the journal's affairs from the invitation of the editor.

2.    Decide on the approval, modification, or rejection of scientifically submitted articles for publication.

3.    Select expert reviewers for submitted articles.

4.    Prepare and approve documents outlining the criteria and procedures for reviewing articles.
